Veracur Gel (GSL)

Clear gel containing Formaldehyde for the treatment of warts and especially verrucae. The kit contains Veracur Gel, plasters and an emery board.

A) Veracur Gel is a clear gel containing formaldehyde.

Q) What is it for?
A) Veracur Gel treats verrucae and warts. 

Q) What is the difference between Veracur Gel and other wart treatments?
A) Other treatments contain substances that kill the skin cells containing the wart / verruca virus. Formaldehyde kills the virus and therefore the wart is less likely to recur. Treatment to kill the virus takes longer than other treatments and therefore Veracur may need to be used for up to 8 weeks.

Q) Can Veracur be used in children?
A) Yes, the gel can be used in any age group. 

Q) How do I use the gel?
A) The gel is applied directly to the wart / verruca twice daily and a plaster is applied. Dead tissue is removed by emery board or pumice stone prior to subsequent applications.

Q) How much does Veracur Gel cost?
A) £4.25 for the kit including emery boards and plasters.
