Important information - Haelan Tape readily available

Recent changes made to electronic prescribing systems used by prescribers and dispensers have blocked prescriptions for Haelan (Fludroxycortide) tape being issued. If you have experienced problems prescribing, dispensing or as a patient obtaining Haelan Tape, please follow the instructions below:

For Patients:

If you have been unable to obtain your prescription for Haelan tape, please relay the above information to your GP, Nurse or Pharmacist.
We'd like to reassure all our customers that Haelan Tape is readily available and we are liaising with the system providers to resolve this problem as soon as possible.

For Prescribers and Dispensers:

  • If Haelan tape is blocked, try issuing under Fludroxycortide tape
  • If failing to issue a repeat, try issuing a new prescription instead
  • If both the above fail, issue a manual prescription

In all 3 scenarios above, please report the problem to your system provider.
